Cmd m1573- Vinyl LP Record This John Jenkins sessions as a leader features the altoist in a quintet with guitarist Kenny Burrell, pianist Sonny Clark, bassist Paul Chambers, and drummer Dannie Richmond. Sounding at times like Charlie Parker (with touches of Phil Woods and Jackie McLean), Jenkins easily keeps up with his better-known sidemen and plays the boppish music with plenty of creativity, emotion, and excitement. As part of The Classic Blue Note Signature Series, this release features authentic artwork, labels and non-groove guard 200g pressing. The lacquers were cut from the original full track, Rudy Van Gelder mono master tape by Bernie Grundman on Classic's all tube Mono cutting system which includes a custom full track mono tape head, mono cutting amp and specially modified and rebuilt lateral cutting only Westrex 3A cutting head.
